I would like to read this story, and the only link I have is to bjfic. Some of her stories are archived at ATP, but not this one. Also, her geocities site (like all geocities sites) is now defunct. Anyone?? Link or download or email? You all are fabulous! chaoticboom@gmail.com just in case :=)

Sympathetic to Brian [

***RECS*** pretty please with Strawberries on top (Cherry's make me gag)

I want some good stories (preferably longer ones) that are more sympathetic to Brian. I don't want Justin bashing, and fully understand that Brian could be pretty crappy to him. But the majority of the stories I read blame Brian for everything, like he is just a huge a**hole who doesn't care what happens to those around him, and then when reading a story and the author makes Brian do something jerky (and lets face it, it's kind of a requirement for a QaF story) all the comments are all "Oh poor Justin, such a saint for putting up with that A**hole!) I some how always want to smack them and say "HEY! What about Brian, they're are generally good reasons for the A**holishness."

Oh, and I'm all for stories that have Justin defending Brian, or understanding why he does what he does (because he's "on to him")

Thanks a bunches

2010 Future Challenges [

]

Your mods have been busy planning the challenges for the first six months of 2010!

January: January is our annual "Potluck" challenge, in which we use up themes and elements from the old year! The January challenge has already been announced, but there is still plenty of time to claim one or more of the prompts. Go to THE ORIGINAL POST and simply comment with which one you want!
February: The theme for February will be "Letters", and we'd like to see a story written in letter form, or a story containing a letter. The element will be a particlar type of letter! (For example: a business letter, a love letter, a letter of condolence, an invitation, etc...)
March: March's theme will be "Mad as a March Hare"-- write a story in which a character seems "mad" or is acting strangely or out-of-character-- for a reason! Your element will be a type of weather, which you will include in the story.
April: In a recent discussion, several members indicated they would welcome a non-fiction challenge. We will assign no theme or element-- write your essay or research or informative article on whatever topic you choose. We ask only that it be focused on Tolkien or his world, and not merely a rant of likes or dislikes.
May: The theme for May will be "Tying Up Loose Ends"; your element will be to fill a particular gap. (Participants may request their gap be set in their choice of the books.)
June: Since the Tale of Years said that Gandalf and Aragorn found the White Tree's sapling in June, that will be the theme this month-- but it doesn't have to be that White Tree-- it can be any of the White Trees in Arda's history. Your element will be a starter sentence.
July: will be a repeat of our very popular "Fixed-Length-Ficlet" challenge, in which you will choose a number and write a story of exactly that number of words!

We hope you will be excited by all of these future challenges and will enjoy taking part in them!

1. Last Saturday, [info]kye_kestrel and I watched NEW MOON with our moms and her aunt and my brother. It was not as terrible as I had imagined it would be, but that may be because I watched it with company and we kept on making bacon references. Also, the wolves were fun. Bella and Edward were trufax stupid characters, though, I'm sorry. They totally deserve each other.

2. Thursday night, [info]kye_kestrel and I watched NINJA ASSASSIN. It was ridiculously plotless and gory and funny like you can't imagine, but I do have a few good moves I can imagine for Kuroro, so the dollar I paid for it was spent well, considering! The main character can't act for shit, hahaha, who is he.

3. Friday night, I helped organize and attended a bridal shower the women in my team threw as a surprise for our boss. It was fun, despite it ending extremely late, and one of our male officemates did a very pro-like strip dance to Careless Whisper. A++ if you guys need someone to perform for your bridal showers, I'll ttly ask him.

4. The weekend was spent with friends at [info]khursten's place. They had a lot of food and drink, although I unfortunately slept before midnight out of lack of sleep the night before. Lynffles was nice and came with me--!! Huhuhu, sunshine. ♥ Sunday was spent lazing around and killing braincells with Gintama and eating more food (om nom nom, Yue brought so many things to eat) before Khursten and I (by extension) took the ones who slept over home (sorta). Went all the way to [info]izkariote's place, at which I realize that I haven't been there in a while (meaning more than a month at least). Khursten and I had dinner at Hap-chan before she took me home.

5. Today I missed work, claiming diarrhea. It's been a while since I've had a day to just laze around, I think. Weekends are always marred by class and too many people in the house. It's nice to be here without anyone bothering me.

6. Happy birthday, [info]thelovemafia~ I realize that we do not have other means of communication apart from LJ, haha.

I'm looking for "Toys for Boys" parts 1-3 by [info]faramir_boromir. The fic is archived at bjfic.net and since that website is down it's no longer accessible to me. I'd like to put it back into my memories.

Any help would be appreciated.

So, in my attempts to rush through and catch up on the past four seasons, I purchased the season three and four DVD box sets. In watching the extra content in both of these seasons, I have noticed that Thomas Gibson is noticeably absent in any interview, commentary and whatnot. That has lead me to wonder, is he just...a reserved guy, or something? He certainly doesn't seem like a jerk that just doesn't wanna talk to people. For being probably the closest thing to a main character CM has, it's kinda weird they don't interview him at all for the DVD sets.

Can someone shed light on the subject? And, bonus internets to anyone who knows of a good interview with him that isn't some creepy TV gossip show. <3333
